Fishermen worked together to rescue a 10-metre whale shark that was accidentally trapped in a trawler net off the coast of Vietnam's Ha Tien.

On August 8, 2025, off the coast of Ha Tien, Kien Giang, Vietnam, a group of fishermen made a remarkable discovery while pulling in their nets — a massive whale shark, over 10 meters long and weighing more than 15 tons, had become trapped.
The video, captured firsthand during a fishing trip, shows the fishermen carefully working together to rescue the gentle giant. Tying a rope to its tail, they gently pulled it free from the entangled net and successfully released it back into the ocean.
