Left wing Musician Billy Bragg Attends Protest and March to stop the Portland Incinerator being built near to his home on the Jurassic Coast in Dorset.
Activist and musician Billy Bragg has supported a few similar events that were held in South Dorset to try to prevent a waste Incinerator being built at Portland in Dorset UK. He and around 500 people joined the march and protest rally on the seafront at Weymouth. The incinerator is thought to generate around the same amount of pollution as as a coal powered power station. The proposed location of it will put it at the centre of the Jurassic Coast a world heritage site area. Billy and his family live on the coast a just few miles away from the location of the the incinerator and has been against the project since it was first proposed by Powerfuel where it will be located at Portland Port. The march went along the seafront and then around the town.
