Actors from "The Lord of the Rings" spin-off series "The Rings of Power" were spotted filming scenes at Portland Bill, Dorset, on October 2.

The filmer said: "More than 20 large trucks with power and lighting generators plus numerous crew and their cars have taken over much of the official car park which belongs to the Crown (King).

"A helicopter shooting aerial shots has been buzzing around for most of the day. The crew have not said what the film is being filmed. The location is known as Pulpit Rock and is around 200 metres from the iconic lighthouse."

A huge film production unit has been filming at Portland Bill, Dorset today. Rings of Power actors Robert Aramayo, Trystan Gravelle and Benjamin Walker have been snapped at Portland Bill.

The Amazon MGM Studio production is based around the world created by the Lord of the Rings author J.R.R Tolkien. It is set centuries prior to the events of those books and focuses around the forging of the Rings of Power and the rise of the Dark Lord Sauron.

Aramayo was pictured speaking to a member of the production crew in his role as Lord Elrond, and is also seen filming alongside other actors in costumes synonymous with the Amazon show.
