This is the bizarre moment a thick white liquid oozed from a watermelon as it was sliced open in Thailand.

Footage shows the slimy substance with bubbles resembling soap suds coming out of the fruit in Ubon Ratchathani province, Thailand, on November 4.

The liquid was believed to be juice that had naturally fermented as the fruit contain high amounts of natural sugar.

When damaged or ripe, these sugars can be converted into alcohol and carbon dioxide by yeast and bacteria.
