The shelling also damaged his spine, injuring his spinal cord and preventing him from moving properly. Musa is currently receiving treatment at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis. With Gaza’s healthcare system in collapse, his mother is calling for his transfer abroad to receive medical care unavailable locally. Since May 27, 1,859 Palestinians have been killed and 13,594 wounded at these so-called humanitarian aid points, which are referred to by Palestinians as "death traps," by the Israeli military. Israel is facing mounting condemnation for its genocidal war on Gaza, where it has killed more than 61,700 victims since October 2023. Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave. Writing by Ayse Elif Erdis
