Man, 72, rides balance scooter while flying 130-metre-long kite
On 4 August in Wuxue, Huanggang, Hubei Province, an elderly man riding an electric balance scooter while flying a kite drew public attention.
In the footage, the man calmly controls the scooter with his arms folded across his chest, gliding across an open field while trailing behind him a string of kites stretching over 100 metres. The dazzling line of kites, linked end to end, resembles a ladder reaching up into the clouds.
The man, named Song Yuanhong, is 72 years old. The kite he was flying was handmade by himself and measures 130 metres long. He explained that kite flying has been both a lifelong hobby and a way to keep fit and lift his spirits.
