GAZA, PALESTINE - AUGUST 21, 2025: At least eight Palestinians, including two children, were killed and many others injured in an Israeli genocidal attack on the home of the Abu Sharia family in the Zeitoun neighborhood of southeastern Gaza.

Scenes from Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital show the devastating aftermath, with bodies carried into the morgue and laid on the floor as grieving relatives sat beside the victims, mourning their loved ones. The footage also shows funeral prayers being performed and men carrying the bodies to a burial site. Among the most harrowing moments was a man carrying the body of a child into the hospital, where a wounded woman bid her final farewell.

A fresh series of Israeli strikes also killed at least 43 Palestinians were killed, including nine aid seekers, on Thursday, as two more died of starvation in the Gaza Strip, medics said.

Israeli forces also continued demolitions and bombardment in the Zeitoun and Sabra neighborhoods in Gaza City, the official news agency Wafa reported.

On Aug. 11, Israeli forces launched a major assault on the Zeitoun neighborhood in southeastern Gaza City, using booby-trapped robots to demolish homes, backed by artillery fire and forced displacement, according to witnesses.

Israel has killed nearly 62,200 Palestinians in its ongoing genocide in Gaza since October 2023. The military campaign has devastated the enclave, which is facing famine.

Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
