This is the shocking moment a resident fell from the ceiling while trying to fix a leaking roof.

Michael De Castro was repairing a hole in the metal sheet when he plunged 11ft through the attic in Rizal, the Philippines.

CCTV footage shows him dropping onto the floor and smashing into racks upon impact on August 12.

He can be seen sitting on the floor, visibly confused about what had happened, while leaning against the mesh barrier of a nearby bed.

The man then turned on his phone's flashlight to illuminate his surroundings before looking up to assess the damage.

Michael said: 'I was putting sealant into the roof when I fell. Maybe the ceiling was too old, or maybe I was too heavy, and it collapsed under my weight. I was shockingly unharmed from the incident.'
