Phoenix, United States - August 22, 2025 08/21/2025 08:17 pm GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – Phoenix Fire Department press release: Firefighters were dispatched around 8:15 PM to the area of 56th St. and Cactus Rd for the reports of a structure fire. Crews arrived and found smoke coming from the roof of a large two-story residential home. Firefighters were able to quickly make an interior attack extinguishing the flames preventing further loss of the home. Prior to the fire departments arrival the homeowners had safely evacuated. At this time a family of two will be displaced. There are no reported injuries and the community assistance program is on the scene to tend to the families needs. The cause is under investigation.
