Los Angeles, United States - August 24, 2025 08/24/2025 06:06 am GMT-0700 EL RIO, VENTURA COUNTY, Calif. – California Highway Patrol officers from the Ventura Area office and the Ventura County Fire Department responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Santa Clara and Central avenues in the rural, unincorporated town of El Rio in Ventura County. Upon arrival, first responders found a white pickup truck on its side and a white BMW with significant front-end damage. The two occupants of the pickup truck were trapped inside and required extrication by firefighters. Ultimately, they were pronounced deceased at the scene. The sole occupant of the BMW was transported to the hospital, although their condition is currently unknown. No further details are available at this time.
