This is the terrifying moment flash floods caused by Tropical Storm Kajiki swept away a pickup truck in northern Thailand.

Torrents of water surged through Mae Hong Son, sweeping into villages after rivers burst their banks on August 27.

Dramatic footage shows the deluge dragging a white pickup truck downstream.

Rescue teams were deployed to assist stranded residents as authorities ordered them to immediately evacuate.

Officials said at least four people were killed and five were missing after the storm triggered landslides in the region.

Vietnam has recently been battered by Typhoon Kajiki, which made landfall on Monday, leaving at least seven people dead, one missing, and 34 others injured. Officials said more than 7,000 homes were damaged during the storm.

On August 27, the Thai Meteorological Department (TMD) said Kajiki had weakened into a low-pressure system over northern Thailand. Despite the storm's dissipation, heavy rainfall was expected to continue in the region for at least two days.
