2. PROTESTER WEARING PRESS TSHIRT, WAVING PALESTINIAN FLAG AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS - AUG. 28: On Thursday, August 28, demonstrators gathered at Amsterdam Central Station to protest the killing of journalists in Gaza and the worsening famine caused by Israel’s blockade and military campaign.
Protesters waved Palestinian flags, carried banners, and voiced solidarity with Palestinians enduring hunger and mourning the loss of media workers killed in the conflict.
The protest was organized following new fatalities among media personnel in Gaza, bringing the total number of Palestinian journalists killed in Israeli attacks since October 2023 to 246.
Israel has killed nearly 63,000 Palestinians in Gaza since October 2023. The military campaign has devastated the enclave, which is facing famine.
Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
