Yemen: Yemenis rally in capital against Israeli airstrikes in Yemen, military operations in Gaza
Tens of thousands of Yemenis on Friday gathered in the Al-Sabeen Square in the capital Sanaa and various locations in Houthi-controlled areas to protest against Israeli airstrikes in Yemen and the military operations in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank and express their solidarity with the Palestinian people. Waving Palestinian flags and holding banners denouncing Israel's airstrikes and blockade,the demonstrators said that the military actions taken by Israel would not shake the determination of the Yemeni people to support Palestine. Protesters said that the people of Gaza are facing slaughter, hunger and displacement, while Israel's attempts to annex the West Bank and occupy the Gaza Strip have drawn widespread condemnation from the international community, including the United Nations. A significant number of Houthi armed personnel also took part in the rally. The demonstrators also called on the international community to take stronger political and economic measures to pressure Israel to stop its atrocities against Palestinians and the massacres of Palestinian civilians.
