Amusing footage shows the cheeky youngster scrolling on the device with a carton propped against his shaved head in the city of Weihai in Shandong, China.
Upon spotting his father, the boy quickly stomped on the brown box, causing it to collapse over him and hide him completely on August 14.
Even as his dad squirted water through a small opening, the child remained tucked inside, laughing but still glued to his screen.
The moment ended with a tantrum when his father eventually confiscated the phone.
