This is the amusing moment a cheeky toddler fooled her mum by hiding behind a bedroom door.

Jo Ann Tomaquin-Dela Cruz and her daughter, Hue, were watching TV when the playful youngster suddenly walked out of the living room for an impromptu game of hide-and-seek.

Worried about where her daughter had gone, Jo Ann searched the house, only to find Hue behind their bedroom door on January 12.

CCTV footage shows the one-year-old toddler in a floral dress tucked away behind the door at the home in General Santos City, the Philippines.

Jo Ann, who had been browsing her iPad, stood up when her child did not return, searching the rooms and the kitchen in a growing panic.

Moments later, she returned to the bedroom and peeked behind the door, discovering Hue standing perfectly still.

The worried mother can be heard giggling, visibly relieved to find her daughter.

Jo Ann said: 'I noticed that she was gone from the living room, so I searched for her and found her behind the door. I got pranked. This was the first time she has ever done this to me.'
