Aizawl, India - August 28, 2025 Railway line reaches Mizoram after 78 years of independence. After 78 years of independence, the central government has prepared a new railway track to Mizoram. Now after so many years of independence, Mizoram's capital Aizawl has come on the railway map. On September 13, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Bairabi-Sairang railway line. This railway line will prove to be a lifeline for the people here. If the journey of passengers becomes easy, then the hopes of business will also get wings. *North East Frontier Railway Public Relations Officer Nilanjan Deb* says that the 51 km project between the inaccessible hills got the status of a national project in 2008-09. Prime Minister Modi laid the foundation stone of this project in 2014 and after 11 years of effort, it has now been successful. Four stations have been built on this railway line. 48 tunnels have been built on this line, which are about 13 km long. 55 big bridges and 27 small bridges have been constructed. Inaccessible mountains, dense forests and heavy rains made the initial survey extremely challenging.
