Storyline: Tongjiang Railway Port in Tongjiang City, northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, has handled a total of 273 China-Europe freight train trips since it was launched in 2022, with over 14 million tonnes of imported and exported goods, data from China Railway Harbin Group Co., Ltd. showed on Tuesday. As an important part of the eastern corridor of the China-Europe freight train service, the port offers a direct route to Europe, cutting the travel distance by approximately 809 kilometers and 10 hours in transit time compared to the Suifenhe Port in southeast Heilongjiang. It has effectively eased transportation pressure on traditional ports like Manzhouli and Suifenhe. Freight trains departing from Tongjiang Railway Port now reaches 14 European countries. Currently, the capacity expansion project for the railway route connecting Tongjiang and Jiamusi in east Heilongjiang is underway. Upon completion, the port's cargo handling capacity is projected to shoot up by over 40 percent. Shotlist: Heilongjiang Province, northeast China - Recent: 1. Various of freight trains running 2.
