US, Phoenix: Phoenix I-10 Passenger Injured After Debris Flies Through Windshield

Phoenix, United States - September 03, 2025 09/03/2025 03:30 am GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – Arizona Department of Public Safety troopers responded to reports of an injury collision on the westbound I-10 near 27th Avenue. According to DPS, a Toyota Camry was traveling westbound on I-10 at highway speeds when an unknown object pierced through the windshield, striking the passenger. Troopers arrived to find the sedan stopped off to the left, west of 27th Avenue. The male passenger sustained multiple injuries from both the object and flying glass. The impact left a large hole through the passenger side of the windshield. Phoenix Fire Department crews responded to the scene and transported the passenger to a local hospital. Troopers are investigating the collision. The origin of the object has yet to be determined.
