Yakin Abu Tileh, from the southern city of Rafah, fled with her family to Khan Younis after Israeli attacks destroyed their home. She is now battling epidermolysis bullosa, a rare and incurable disorder, while also suffering from malnutrition amid widespread shortages in the besieged enclave.

Her mother, Esra Abu Tileh, said Yakin is receiving limited care at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis but urgently needs specialized treatment that is not available in Gaza.

She hopes to leave the territory to secure life-saving medical care for her daughter.

According to recent data from the Gaza Health Ministry and government media office, over one million children are deprived of food, while 40,000 infants face life-threatening severe malnutrition due to the blockade.

Since October 7, 2023, Israeli attacks in Gaza have intensified, including killings, forced displacement, and widespread destruction.

The Ministry of Health reports that malnutrition-related deaths have reached 370 Palestinians, including 131 children.

Israel has already killed more than 64,200 Palestinians in Gaza since October 2023. The military campaign has devastated the enclave, which is facing famine.

Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
