PEOPLE CARRYING ISLEYH’S BODY ON STRETCHER (2 SHOTS)GAZA STRIP, PALESTINE - AUGUST 11: On Monday, August 11, an 86-year-old Palestinian man died of malnutrition in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, amid months of food and medicine shortages caused by Israel’s blockade. The victim, Rebia Abdelkarim Isleyh, had been suffering from malnutrition and was taken to Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis after his death. Israel has been facing mounting outrage over its deadly war on Gaza, where more than 61,400 people have been killed since October 2023. The military campaign has devastated the enclave and brought it to the verge of famine. Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
