Ahead of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi's visit to Slovenia, a local business leader highlighted Beijing's expanding influence in global peace and stability efforts. Ziga Vavpotic, chairman of the Slovenian-Chinese Business Council, told China Global Television Network (CGTN) that China's vision for global governance offers timely inspiration amid rising global uncertainty. He noted that initiatives proposed by China, particularly those put forward by Chinese President Xi Jinping, reflect a commitment to building a more just and inclusive international order. The GGI was unveiled at the 2025 Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit, held from Aug 31 to Sept 1 in north China's Tianjin City. Vavpotic stressed that the timing of the initiative also carries important significance.
