According to data from online movie-ticket platform Maoyan, China contributed 24 percent of global box office sales while North America contributed 29 percent. Animation was the big winner, making up more than 48 percent of China's box office and generating more than 3.5 billion U.S. dollars. Films like "Ne Zha 2" took an early lead raking in a staggering 2.2 billion U.S. dollars globally, becoming the world's top grossing animated feature of all time. Duan Yuhan, moviegoer: "Films such as 'The Lychee Road' and 'Ne Zha 2' impressed me the most. They make poetry, mythology and history feel alive again." Analysts noted that China's film market is remarkably diverse, with documentaries, international arthouse films, and niche European imports all finding dedicated audiences. Fu Ruoqing, chairman, China Film Group: "Chinese filmmakers have explored a path rooted in traditional Chinese culture while developing a distinctive narrative. With diverse styles, content and genres, Chinese films have enriched the overall development of the industry."
