A mini tornado snapped branches from trees as it tore through a field in Thailand.

Footage shows the twister sending debris flying through the air before swirling violently just metres from a house, causing trees to sway dramatically in Chachoengsao on September 14.

Residents said the freak weather event uprooted several trees, and at least two power poles had fallen in the area. No injuries were reported.

A tornado is a rapidly rotating column of air that extends from a thunderstorm to the ground, often appearing as a funnel-shaped cloud.

Tornadoes can cause significant damage due to their intense winds, which can reach speeds over 300 mph, making them one of the most destructive weather phenomena.
