This is the hilarious moment a woman collapsed in shock when her partner made a surprise proposal.

Luthfi proposed to his long-term girlfriend, Elsya Nauraini, at Mount Papandayan in Garut Regency, Indonesia.

Footage shows the man holding the ring while Elsya admired the scenic mountain view on September 3.

Moments later, Luthfi asked her to turn around and extended the jewellery in front of her.

Caught off guard and visibly overjoyed, the woman smiled before bursting into loud laughter.

She then stepped back as her legs turned to jelly and she fell to the ground.

The ecstatic hiker's fall turned the romantic moment into a comical mishap as the couple continued to laugh.

The man crouched down to check if his girlfriend was okay while still holding the ring up.

Luthfi said: 'We have been together for three years and I want to take our relationship to the next level.

'I thought of a heartfelt proposal, but it turned out comical. She said ‘yes' afterwards. She was fine but only slightly injured on her hand.'
