This is the inspiring moment a plus-size runner crossed the finish line of a triathlon Ironman race, as the crowd erupted in cheers.

Keigh Garlejo triumphed at the final stretch after swimming, cycling, and running a total of 32 miles (51.5 km) in Samal, the Philippines, on September 25.

The determined athlete, wearing a blue and purple lycra running suit and sports sunglasses, can be seen jogging along the red carpet as onlookers applauded the last triathlete to complete the event.

The bell rang as delighted spectators cheered, and the host welcomed the emotional Keigh, who raised her hands in the air.

She completed a 1.5 km swim, a 40 km bike ride, and a 10 km run across the island.

Keigh said: 'I couldn't hold back my tears while running, because all the hard work and training had finally paid off.

'I may not be the fastest, but I'm proud and grateful to finish, surrounded by the cheers of everyone. That's why the tears flowed even more.'
