"My nightmare neighbour assaulted me on film - she's still next door despite order"
A woman has been left "scared to leave" her home after her "nightmare" neighbour violently assaulted her."
Jade Smith, 30, and her partner, Linda, 21, have spent the past year living "anxiously" next door to their neighbour."
Charlotte Shilleto was convicted of using violence to secure entry to a premises and assault by beating after she attacked Jade in the doorway to their flat in April 2024.
Video shows Shilleto lunging at Jade, who is autistic, and Linda by the entrance to their property.
Jade claims the assault happened because Charlotte wrongly believed someone from her home had tried to enter her flat.
She was given a community service sentence and a restraining order and had to pay Jade a victim surcharge of £300 when she plead guilty at Bath Magistrates Court.
But with Shilleto still living next door to them, Jade believes the conviction doesn't go far enough.
In May 2025, Shilleto breached her restraining order after she ripped Jade's door camera off and repeatedly called out her name.
After being given another community order, Jade is now waiting for the council to evict Shilleto.
Jade, who isn't currently working, from Keynsham, near Bristol, said: "I'm scared and worried. "
"It's made my mental health really bad, and I don't want to go out."
"Every time I do go out, she comes out after - it's like she knows that we're going out."
"I feel very anxious - I live with my partner, and it makes her really paranoid too. "
"It's affected me quite a bit, especially when you don't know what's going on with her being kicked out."
Jade moved into the flat over a decade ago and didn't have any problems until Shilleto moved in next door two years ago.
She said: "In May 2024 she assaulted me, out of the blue. "
"She thought someone had come into her property, and then she got violent and assaulted me and my partner."
"I didn't know her before that - we had a small run in before that when she kept knocking on the door."
"But during the assault I blacked out and she left me with scratches on my face."
After her conviction, Jade though that was that and she would be able to move on from the ordeal.
She added: "I thought that was it - I had a restraining order against her."
"But then she breached her restraining order."
"She came out her property and kept calling my name. "
"She tried to speak to me, and we thought she was going to kick off again and she took my camera off my door and threw it on the floor."
"The police were there for six hours trying to get her out of property."
"She got another community order for 12 months and 20 days of rehab - I think it's rubbish to be honest."
"She was convicted for harassment in May, but it was adjourned six times."
Jade is now hoping she'll soon be able to put everything behind her when Shilleto is eventually evicted.
Jade said: "She actually put up a camera and the council said she's not allowed to because of the conviction. "
"The council are trying to get her out but they're just waiting on the official conviction letter from the court."
"I also get flashbacks and panic attacks from the assault and harassment and I'm waiting on a cardiology assessment for my heart because of the stress it caused me."
