Los Angeles, United States - September 26, 2025 09/26/2025 06:59 am GMT-0700 HOLLYWOOD HILLS WEST, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Friday morning, emergency crews responded to a report of downed wires in the Hollywood Hills West neighborhood. The Los Angeles Fire Department arrived at the scene, where they found a fallen tree resting on a car that had also brought down a power line in the 8400 block of West Lookout Mountain Avenue near the intersection of Laurel Canyon Boulevard and Lookout Mountain Avenue. Due to the wire lying in the street, authorities closed off the roadway, creating traffic disruptions, particularly for parents dropping off children at Wonderland Avenue Elementary School. The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power responded and assessed the situation.
