US, Los Angeles: North Hills TMobile Collapses After Hydrant Crash

Los Angeles, United States - March 16, 2025 03/16/2025 02:57 pm (GMT-0700) NORTH HILLS, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Los Angeles firefighters responded to a traffic collision Sunday afternoon in the 15300 block of West Nordhoff Street. The crash involved a vehicle striking a fire hydrant, which led to a significant amount of water spilling onto the roof of a nearby commercial building. The incident compromised the building's structural integrity. No injuries have been reported at this time. Crews from the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power were on-site to deactivate power lines in the area. Additionally, the LAFD requested the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety assess the damage to the building. While it remains unclear what caused the crash, authorities do not believe it was the result of a police pursuit. The Los Angeles Police Department did not provide any information at the scene.
