Waverley paddle steamer sails around Red Sands Forts off Kent, UK
The Waverley paddle steamer sailed around the iconic Red Sands Forts off Kent, UK this afternoon (October 2).
The trip around the Maunsell forts in the Thames Estuary also co-incided with the 79th anniversary of her launch.
Waverley launched back on this day back in 1946 - as the last paddle steamer built for service on the Clyde.
Waverley was the final vessel of ten steamers built for London & North Eastern Railway in Glasgow.
Footage filmed from Warden Bay shows the Red Sands tower - anti-aircraft defences for London from the Second World War.
