VARIOUS OF PEOPLE MARCHING, CHANTING SLOGANS, WAVING PALESTINIAN FLAGS BARCELONA, SPAIN - OCTOBER 4, 2025: Tens of thousands of people marched through central Barcelona on Saturday in solidarity with Gaza, calling for an end to the arms trade and all relations with Israel. City police estimated the turnout at around 70,000, while organizers from the group Prou Complicitat amb Israel put the figure at about 300,000. The protest, held under the slogan “Stop the genocide in Palestine, end the arms trade and ties with Israel, for a total embargo,” began at Jardinets de Gràcia and ended at the Arc de Triomf, where a manifesto was read and a large banner in support of Palestine was displayed. Crowds chanted slogans including “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” and “Free Palestine.” Some activists also spray-painted messages on shops, restaurants, and banks along Passeig de Gràcia, accusing the establishments of being “complicit in genocide.”
