Phoenix, United States - October 04, 2025 10/03/2025 10:02 pm GMT-0700 EL MIRAGE, Ariz. – A Maricopa County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) deputy was involved in a two-vehicle collision Friday night on Grand Avenue at the intersection of West Thompson Ranch Road in El Mirage. Firefighters were called to the scene with initial reports that the deputy was potentially trapped inside their patrol car. Firefighters arrived and located an MCSO Tahoe on its roof in the southbound lanes of Grand Avenue just south of the intersection. According to information gathered at the scene, the deputy was able to exit their Tahoe with the help of bystanders. The deputy was transported to a local area hospital with unknown injuries. The occupant of the other car was evaluated but declined to be transported to the hospital. Southbound Grand Avenue was closed as deputies and El Mirage police investigated the incident.
