Los Angeles, United States - January 21, 2026 01/21/2026 12:40 am GMT-0800 EXPOSITION PARK, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department's Southwest Division were involved in a traffic collision with a civilian at the intersection of Exposition Boulevard and Western Avenue. After the crash, officers reported their involvement and requested a Los Angeles Fire Department ambulance for an officer who sustained injuries. LAFD personnel arrived and transported the officer to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center with what appeared to be minor injuries. The female driver of the Mazda involved in the crash did not appear to have sustained any injuries. LAPD officers blocked the intersection while they investigated the incident. The cause of the crash remains unclear, and it is undetermined whether the officers were responding to a call with lights and sirens. The LAPD South Traffic Division is handling the investigation.
