Bakersfield, United States - October 06, 2025 10/05/2025 11:47 pm GMT-0700 BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – A SWAT standoff took place late Sunday night in the 2600 block of Eissler Court involving a male subject reportedly barricaded inside a home with two children. The call came in around 11:47 p.m. Responding officers surrounded the residence as the situation unfolded. According to witnesses in the area, similar disturbances of domestic abuse have occurred previously at the same location. The suspect was taken into custody after heavily resisting arrest and hitting the inside of a police vehicle repeatedly. He was placed in full-body restraints following the arrest. During the incident, fights broke out between two parties, involving members of the suspect’s family and neighbors. The number of injuries and transports remains unknown. The Bakersfield Police Department responded to the scene.
