US, Bakersfield: Bakersfield Stolen Semi Truck Pursuit Ends With Suspect in Custody
Bakersfield, United States - July 14, 2025 07/13/2025 08:00 pm GMT-0700 BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – Kern County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of an active break-in at a semi truck on the 34000 block of 7th Standard Road. The suspect engaged in a physical altercation with the property owner during the attempted break-in. The suspect fled the scene in a stolen semi truck. California Highway Patrol officers joined the pursuit, following the big rig westbound on 7th Standard Road. Officers successfully deployed spike strips on two occasions, bringing the semi truck to a halt 16 miles west of the initial location near Enos Lane, on 7th Standard. The suspect was taken into custody without incident.
