VARIOUS OF HUMANITARIAN AID TRUCKS BEING WAITED, CONTROLLED AND CROSSING GAZA THROUGH RAFAH BORDER CROSSING RAFAH, PALESTINE - OCT. 9: A limited number of humanitarian aid trucks crossed into Gaza through the Rafah Border Crossing from Egypt on Wednesday, Oct. 8, as deliveries continue to face restrictions imposed by Egyptian authorities. The trucks departed from Egypt and entered the crossing’s Egyptian side before being held at the Kerem Abu Salem (Kerem Shalom) crossing on the Israeli side for security inspections. The 20-point plan, first announced on Sept. 29, includes the release of all Israeli captives in exchange for Palestinian prisoners, a ceasefire, the disarmament of Hamas and the rebuilding of Gaza. Since October 2023, Israeli attacks have killed nearly 67,200 Palestinians in the enclave, most of them women and children. The relentless bombardment has left Gaza largely uninhabitable, leading to widespread starvation and diseases.
