On October 14, during the final kilometer of the Fangchenggang stage of the 2025 Tour of Guangxi Road Cycling World Tour, a major crash occurred among riders as they jostled for position in the sprint finish.

According to on-site medical officials, 12 cyclists went down in the pile-up. Fortunately, all riders escaped serious injury, completed the race, and no one was forced to withdraw.

Under UCI regulations, riders involved in crashes within the final three kilometers are given the same time as the main peloton — in this case, 3 hours, 19 minutes, and 37 seconds.

The 2025 Tour of Guangxi is the final event of the UCI WorldTour season, featuring 20 elite teams from around the globe. In the end, Paul Magnier of Soudal Quick-Step claimed victory in the Fangchenggang stage.
