This is the bizarre moment mothers cleaning outside their homes broke into a brawl, swinging brooms and blasting leaf blowers at each other.

The residents met on the street, with one of them clearing fallen leaves from a bush between their houses in Johor, Malaysia, on October 17.

One woman swept them away from her garage, which appeared to irritate the next-door neighbour, who then pointed her leaf blower in retaliation.

Chaotic CCTV footage shows the two mums fighting each other off with their cleaning tools.

They both returned to their houses, but moments later, the women emerged again, one now armed with a water hose, which she used to spray her opponent's family.

The other then chased her with a broom, as more relatives arrived to separate the two groups, hitting one another with sticks and poles while shouting furiously.

Tangkak district police chief Superintendent Roslan Mohd Talib said: ‘Investigations found that the incident involved five women and stemmed from a disagreement between neighbours in the housing area.

‘An investigation is under way and those involved have been identified.'

The superintendent added the mothers are being investigated for rioting which is punishable by up to five years imprisonment if found guilty.

Both families returned to their homes after the altercation and no one appeared seriously hurt.
