Storyline: Shanghai auto terminal sees over 1 million cars exported in first 3 quarters ⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠[Voice_over] New data shows that auto exports from the Haitong International Automotive Terminal at the Waigaoqiao Port in Shanghai have surpassed one million units in the first three quarters of the year. One this day roll-on , roll-off, or ro-ro, vessels shipped more than 4,000 vehicles to destinations outside China, including about 500 en route to Mexico. Part of the port's success is due to a shift in using foreign ro-ro's to using domestically built vessels, which highlights the increasing control Chinese auto makers have over the global supply chain. The Haitong International Automobile Terminal covers 1.1 million square meters and can park up to 350,000 vehicles. 2025 is the fourth consecutive year that the port has exported one million units in the first three quarters.
