VARIOUS OF PEOPLE MARCHING ON STREET, CHANTING SLOGANS, HOLDING BANNERS AND PALESTINIAN FLAGSPATRAS, GREECE - OCT. 29, 2025: Pro-Palestinian demonstrators held a protest against the cruise ship Crown Iris, carrying Israeli tourists, at Patras Port on Wednesday, Oct. 29, prompting the vessel to reroute to Katakolos Port on the Peloponnese Peninsula. Demonstrators, waving pro-Palestinian banners, marched from the port to the city center chanting “Freedom for Palestine,” denouncing Israel’s attacks on Gaza. The ship had also encountered protests at Kalamata Port in the Peloponnese the previous day. The Israeli army claimed to have renewed its commitment to the ceasefire agreement on Wednesday, after killing over 100 civilians in the Gaza Strip. A military statement said that the army “has begun the renewed enforcement of the ceasefire” with the directive of the political echelon, “following a series of strikes” on the Gaza Strip. More than 100 civilians, including 35 children, were killed, and dozens of people were injured in Israeli airstrikes across the enclave in less than 12 hours in violation of the ceasefire agreement, according to the Gaza Civil Defense. The brutal Israeli attacks came in violation of the ceasefire agreement that came into effect on Oct. 10 under US President Donald Trump’s 20-point plan. Phase one of the deal includes the release of Israeli hostages in exchange for nearly 2,000 Palestinian prisoners. The plan also envisages the rebuilding of Gaza and the establishment of a new governing mechanism without Hamas. Israel has killed more than 68,600 people, mostly women and children, and injured over 170,600 others in attacks in Gaza since October 2023.
