China: EximBank unveils tailored financial services for 8th CIIE
The Export-Import Bank of China (China EximBank) unveiled in Shanghai on Friday tailor-made financial solutions for the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE) in collaboration with the CIIE Bureau, aiming to fully meet enterprises' import financing needs. The 8th CIIE is scheduled to open in Shanghai on Nov. 5, with all preparatory work now in the final stages. Addressing the needs of participants at this year's expo, China EximBank is focusing on the entire import trade chain. Building upon traditional products like credit, trade finance, and payment settlement, the bank is strengthening services, including financial markets access and exchange rate risk hedging, to meet enterprises' needs throughout trade negotiations, contract execution, goods turnover, and payment settlement. Regarding financial services, this year's expo will see the release of investment research reports covering 71 countries, providing valuable references for enterprises to expand globally, seize business opportunities, and forestall risks. "We are not only creating comprehensive financial solutions for multinational corporations but also establishing efficient support systems for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises. We aim to both meet enterprises' cross-border financing needs and promote the convenient use of RMB in trade settlements, ensuring availability of financial resources in every aspect of import trade," said Wang Kang, vice president of China Eximbank. This year's CIIE runs through Nov.10 in Shanghai. It will feature 4,108 overseas exhibitors from 155 countries, regions, and international organizations, with the total exhibition area exceeding 430,000 square meters, setting a new record in scale. Held annually in Shanghai since 2018, CIIE is the world's first import-themed national-level exhibition. The trade fair grants foreign businesses a one-stop shop for exporting their products to China, demonstrating China's commitment to liberalizing its market and fostering global trade partnerships.
