Typhoon Kalmaegi caused severe flooding as it lashed the Philippines with intense rainfall.

Footage taken from a building shows widespread inundation, with houses submerged in murky waters in Mandaue City, Cebu, on November 4.

On its left, a petrol station was also engulfed in floodwaters, with only a small portion still visible.

Kalmaegi, locally known as Tino, has killed at least 66 people and displaced hundreds of thousands across the country. Another 26 people are reportedly missing.

State weather bureau PAGASA said the storm dumped more than a month's worth of rain in just 24 hours in Southern Leyte and Cebu.

Kalmaegi is forecast to leave the Philippine area of responsibility by late Wednesday or early Thursday.
