Storyline: The China Pavilion at the eighth China International Import Expo (CIIE) is drawing significant attention as the largest and one of the most eye-catching exhibition spaces, with a record 570 exhibits showcasing the country's progress in robotics, AI and other frontier fields. At the China Pavilion, visitors are welcomed by "Xiaotian," an AI docent robot that introduces its robotic companions, showcasing their skills, such as dancing and playing football. A highlight of the pavilion is an autonomous minibus, which offers a vision of future mobility. Featuring a digital assistant that provides real-time stop announcements, the minibus also includes an onboard entertainment system, allowing passengers to sing, watch films, or enjoy drinks served by a robotic bartender. As AI brings "smart living" within easy reach, brain-computer interfaces are turning mental control from fantasy into reality, providing solutions for patients with central nervous system damage. By generating motor intentions, such as detecting a movement impulse triggered by a visual cue, patients can operate a robotic hand to grasp objects, fostering better rehabilitation prospects. "This is a non-invasive brain-computer interface (BCI) robot designed to assist stroke patients with neurological damage and hemiplegia in their rehabilitation. Upon observing the fishing float pass by, I generate an intention to move, which controls the robotic hand to execute a grasping motion," said Jin Hui, Vice President of Shanghai Shuli Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. The China Pavilion also highlights major transformative achievements China has made during its 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025) period. A CR450 high-speed train model showcases the pinnacle of China's high-speed rail technology, embodying "China Speed." Interactive scale models illustrate the construction of world-class bridges under the banner of "China Intelligent Manufacturing." Additionally, the world's first manned near-ground aircraft, enabling low-altitude flight as intuitive as walking, is redefining the future of aerial mobility. "Our primary application scenarios include cultural and tourism experiences and emergency rescue. We are making steady progress and approaching the application stage," said Zhang Jixiao , director for research and development at CoolFly (KuFei) Aircraft Technology Co., Ltd. The 8th CIIE features the largest exhibition space in its history and brings together a record 4,108 enterprises from 138 countries and regions. Running from Nov. 5 to 10, this year's CIIE will see the debut of 461 new products, technologies and services. Shotlist: Shanghai, China - Nov 5, 2025: 1.
