3. HELICOPTER CONDUCTING AERIAL SURVEILLANCE JUAREZ , MEXICO - NOV 5, 2025: US authorities have stepped up border security measures with Mexico as migrant crossings continue to rise on Wednesday, Nov. 5, deploying additional personnel, armored vehicles and advanced surveillance systems in key areas.

Several Stryker armored vehicles were observed patrolling the area. Two helicopters and a significant number of military personnel were also stationed along the borderline, while a mobile tower equipped with radar and night-vision cameras scanned for animal and human movements.

According to the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP), surveillance was reinforced after immigration authorities noted an increase in migrant crossings during events such as supermoon, which provides improved natural lighting at night.

On the Mexican side, personnel from the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena) monitored the situation, as a high-ranking US border security official was reportedly present in the vicinity.

Since U.S. President Donald Trump began his second term, 109,000 Mexicans have been repatriated, according to updated government figures released in September.

President Claudia Sheinbaum also reported that the number of migrants attempting to cross the northern border has fallen by 91%.

Following Trump’s threat to impose tariffs on Mexican exports, Sheinbaum pledged to help reduce migration flows to the United States. As part of that effort, her government has deployed military personnel to Mexico’s northern border.
