This footage reportedly shows Russian warships launching Redut and Kinzhal missile systems as they intercept multiple simulated enemy targets during air-defence drills.

Authorities confirmed the exercise took place in the Sea of Japan on November 5, conducted as part of the fleet's combat training plan.

The Russian Ministry of Defence said vessels from the Pacific Fleet's Primorye Flotilla of diverse forces carried out an exercise to repel a missile strike from a mock enemy.

Officials stated the large anti-submarine ships Admiral Tributs and Admiral Panteleev, along with the corvettes Sovershennyy and Hero of the Russian Federation Aldar Tsydenzhapov, acted as part of a naval detachment responding to a simulated attack by cruise missiles.

As part of the exercise, the missile boat R-14 launched a practical Moskit cruise missile while the small anti-submarine ship Sovetskaya Gavan fired several Saman target missiles.

Combat crews detected the simulated air raid, deployed electronic warfare countermeasures, locked onto the aerial targets, and fired the Redut and Kinzhal air-defence systems.

All target missiles were reportedly destroyed at a safe distance from the detachment.
