A delighted fisherman caught an 80kg grouper fish in Taiwan.

Resident Feng Shih-Hsueh was casually fishing at the Anping North Embankment in Tainan when he noticed something unusual about his line on November 3.

Upon closer inspection, he was stunned to find a gigantic sea creature, prompting him to call for help from nearby locals to reel in the catch.

Anglers said the fish measured about 153 centimetres and weighed around 80 kilogrammes.

Feng said: 'I've been fishing for almost 10 years. This is my second one - the last weighed 85.5 kg. The hardest part is when the fish is about to be caught. Someone needs to help, otherwise, I can't do it alone.

'I don't sell the fish I catch. No matter how big they are, I just clean them up and share them with everyone.'
