Royal Oak, United States - November 09, 2025 A woman was arrested early Sunday morning after crashing her SUV into an Ulta Beauty store and repeatedly ramming the building in a desperate attempt to escape police, according to the Royal Oak Police Department. The incident took place on November 9, 2025, at around 12:40 a.m., when officers responded to reports of a white SUV driving on train tracks near W. Fourth Street and S. Center Street. Police located the vehicle and approached the driver, who refused to cooperate. Officers noticed one tire going flat and saw an open container of alcohol inside the car. When asked for her driver’s license, the driver sped away northbound on Washington Avenue. Officers pursued the vehicle as it continued west on Farnum Avenue and then onto Oakridge Avenue, which ends at an alley next to Woodward Avenue. The driver turned into the alley and accelerated into the parking lot of Ulta Beauty at 27844 Woodward Avenue, where she lost control and crashed into the building. Even after the crash, she continued trying to flee, reversing into a patrol car and then driving deeper into the store, causing thousands of dollars in damage before the vehicle became stuck on debris. The suspect, identified as 26-year-old Canton resident Katrina Patterson, was taken into custody without further incident.
