UNKNOWN LOCATION (RELEASED ON NOV. 14, 2025) (USERS MUST CREDIT “UKRAINIAN PRESIDENCY” HANDOUT, MUST NOT OBSCURE LOGO —EDITORIAL USE ONLY) Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced on Friday that his forces have successfully used domestically produced "Long Neptune" cruise missiles to strike targets on Russian territory.

In a statement on social media, Zelenskyy described the overnight missile strike as an "entirely rightful response to the ongoing Russian terror."

"Last night, our soldiers successfully used 'long Neptunes' against designated targets on Russian territory," Zelenskyy said. "Ukrainian missiles are achieving more significant and precise results practically every month."

The president shared a monochrome video that purported to show the launch of the cruise missile through the night sky. This marks the first time Ukraine has released footage it says shows the extended-range Neptune missile in operation.

Zelenskyy did not specify the exact date of the launch or identify the specific targets that were hit.

The Long Neptune cruise missile, part of Ukraine's efforts to bolster its domestically produced arsenal, was officially unveiled in March of this year. At that time, President Zelenskyy stated that the missile had already been tested in combat and possesses a range of approximately 1,000 kilometers (621 miles). He did not disclose the location of those initial combat tests.
