Airport staff sparked outrage when they were caught hurling cases from a plane into a baggage cart in Brazil.

Footage shows the ground crew taking luggage from a conveyor belt and carelessly tossing it into the vehicles at the Belo Horizonte International Airport in Minas Gerais on November 11.

The cases were from an Azul Brazilian Airlines flight that departed from Orlando, Florida, in the United States.

The budget airline said ground services were outsourced and that it was already taking 'necessary measures to reinforce its standards of excellence'.

It said: 'All crew members and company partners are properly trained, follow internal safety and quality protocols, and operate fully in accordance with the recommendations of the regulatory body.'

BH Airport, the concessionaire that manages the airport, said in a statement that the incident was being investigated by the ground service provider.

It said: 'BH Airport is closely monitoring the situation and has reinforced the importance of immediate alignment with practices that ensure safety in operations, quality in services, and respect for passengers.

'We reiterate our commitment to the integrity of belongings and to excellence in customer service at our facilities.'
