A whale shark has appeared at Bentar Beach in Gending District, Probolinggo Regency, East Java, Indonesia.
This phenomenon usually occurs at the end of the year. Currently, there are only five sharks, and the number is expected to reach approximately 200 by the end of December.
Whale sharks are not predatory; these marine mammals feed on plankton, and their appearances attract tourists to Bentar Beach.
