Whale Stranded on the Coast of Batang Kapas Beach, Pesisir Selatan Regency
Discovery of a type of Whale Shark (Rhincodon Typus) that was trapped by Mr. ISAL's towed trawl net at the edge of the beach in Muaro Anakan Village, Ken Koto Nan Duo, Kec. Cotton Stem* On Wednesday 28 August 2024 at approximately 12.30 WIB at the beach at Kampung Muaro Anakan Ken. Koto Nan Duo District. Bt. Cotton was caught by Mr. ISAL's fishermen's trawl, a helpless Whale Shark (Rhincodon Typus) measuring approximately 3 meters long. With the discovery of a whale shark (Rhincodon Typus) which was helpless due to being entangled in a fishermen's trawl, the fishermen tried to help it to push it into the middle of the ocean but the fish could not be pushed so at around 18.00 WIT a whale shark (Rhincodon Typus) ) who was trapped was already dead. Until now, Thursday 29 August 2024, the carcass of a Whale Shark (Rhincodon Typus) is still stranded on the edge of the beach in Muaro Anakan Ken Koto Nan Duo Village, Batang Kapas District.
